Trude Gomnæs Ugelstad

Director

Trude Gomnæs Ugelstad is the director of the Queen Sonja Print Award and the Queen Sonja Art Foundation. Over the last 20 years she has held senior management roles at several national arts institutions in Norway. She has initiated and produced visual art and design projects in close collaboration with embassies in New York, Paris, Milan, London and Stockholm. She is working closely with the Norwegian Ministry of Culture and the Arts Council in Norway as chair for State Artist Grants. Ugelstad is the chair of the board of the Office for Contemporary Art Norway and has served on the international and European board of the World Crafts Council for six years.

Marie Hepsø

Gallery- and Project Coordinator (Temporarily on Leave)

Marie Hepsø is the Gallery Coordinator for the exhibition space in Bjørvika, Oslo. She holds both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree from The Oslo National Academy of the Arts, where she specialized in Medium- and Material Based Art. Additionally, she studied Arts Management at Oslo Metropolitan University. Hepsø's academic background is complemented by several years of professional experience within the art field. She began her career as an artist and later transitioned into roles such as a Project Leader at Norwegian Arts Abroad and Communication Officer at Format, Oslo.

Katja K. Bergstrøm

Foundation Liaison

Katja Bergstrøm holds a Master’s degree in Art History from the University of Oslo, a specialization in Art Management from OsloMet, and further credentials in Art Advisory and Valuation, as well as Curating and Collection Management from Christie’s Education. Katja has several years of experience in the contemporary art field, with a background in project management, exhibition production, public engagement, and collection management.

Embla I. Myklebust

Exhibition host

Embla I. Myklebust has a Bachelor in Art History from University of Oslo, and is currently pursuing a Master degree in Curating. She holds a position as a Board member within Kunsthistorisk Forening (Norways Art History Association), and was the Editor of the art historical magazine Paragone from 2021-2023.

Anne Beate Smit Hasli

Exhibition host (Temporarily on Leave)

Anne Beate Smit Hasli is an Oslo-based artist and printmaker. She has an education from Einar Granum Art School, and a bachelor's degree in Arts and Crafts from KHiO (2023), specializing in printmaking and drawing. In 2022, she spent a semester at Iceland University of the Arts, in Reykjavik.
