QSPA is one of the key partners to Artica Svalbard, together with Norwegian PEN and Office for Contemporary Art Norway/ OCA. The three key partners nominate artists for an artist-in-residency program, and also play an active role in other projects as part of Artica’s program, related to their field of expertise. The residency programme sits at the very cornerstone of Artica’s work on the island. It is best seen as a place for creative exchange, thinking and processes. - A residency where process is explored, shared and allowed, both in each individual artist’s work as well as between the artists in residence at Artica Svalbard, and also those who live and work in Longyearbyen. In collaboration with QSPA, Artica Svalbard offers a well equipped printmaking studio to 3 -6 printmaking artists a year.
